Darkwebathon AAR: TTPs for Investigating Opioid Trafficking on the Dark Web
Date/Time
5/31/2024
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern
Event Description
Have you heard about the DarkBlue Intelligence Suite Darkwebathon held in April 2024? 65 participants from multiple federal and local law enforcement agencies and their private sector partners produced 26 awesome targeting packages deanonymizing synthetic opioid traffickers on the dark web. These actionable packages not only offer us the opportunity to win a battle in the war against synthetic opioid trafficking, but have a lot to teach us about how to defeat the anonymization provided by dark web drug trafficking.

Join us for an LEO-sensitive discussion of the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that proved effective for dark web opioid trafficking investigations, based on our review of the 2024 DarkBlue Darkwebathon targeting packages.

Our session will feature Abigail White, an event organizer and participant who is a Crime and Intelligence Analyst at the Campbell County Sheriff's Office. We'll explore her findings from the Darkwebathon and the TTPs that worked for her and others.
