This THREE-day PLX Advanced Live Online class, is hosted and taught by PenLink. This program is conducted on the Microsoft Teams platform with the ability to interact with the trainer. You will be accessing PLX through a cloud-based training environment via Remote Desktop application.
This class will be held Tuesday through Thursday, March 19-21, 2024, from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm Central Time (CST).
PREREQUISITE: Fundamentals for Agents/Investigators or PLX Basics plus 6 months of using the software or equivalent experience. This is an advanced level course, which means you must be proficient in PLX workflows. This class is best taken 6 months after you have attended a PLX Basics course, use PLX on a regular basis, or have equivalent field experience.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This 3-day course will build from—and add to—your existing PLX knowledge. Attend this class to sharpen your skills and discover new tactics for finding answers faster.
- Find commonalities between locations with tower dump analysis
- Analyze Google Geofence data
- Discover patterns of movement using Google Location data
- Efficiently analyze Facebook content
- Use regular expressions to find vital information
- Map records and measure distances between locations
- Uncover answers from cell phone forensic extractions, email search warrant returns, and more

TUITION AND PAYMENT
Class tuition is $995 per person or waived with a PenLink Training Subscription.

DEVICE
You will need a computer that has a Remote Desktop application installed. PenLink will provide you with the credentials to a cloud based PLX training database, which will allow you to practice using PLX throughout the course of the class. You will not be using your agency’s PLX license.
We recommend that participants have two monitors during training.
