International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts - Event Information
Event Name:
Cobwebs Webinar - EXIF Data and How It Can Benefit Open-Source Investigations
Description:
Please join us on Wednesday February 24th at 1pm EST to discuss EXIF data – what it is, where we can find it and how extracting information from these files can aide in your investigations. Social media platforms, web services, and even messaging apps often remove GPS and other forms of vital information from media they process. However, media uploaded to online forums, the dark web and blog pictures often still contain EXIF data. During this session we will cover methods to uncover this information, learn more about photos and videos posted online, all in an open-source format.
Host – Lieutenant Johnmichael O’Hare retired from the Hartford Police (CT) in 2018, where he was tasked with creating the Capitol City Command Center (C4), a Real Time Intelligence Center. C4 has grown into a regional hub for intelligence and is utilized by local, state, and federal agencies alike.
Co Host - Stephen Lerner is a Senior Web Intelligence Analyst at Cobwebs Technologies. Stephen trains clients around the world on the use of Cobwebs' proprietary OSINT tools and on the field of intelligence in general.
This session will run for approximately 30 minutes, with 15 minutes reserved for Q&A
